EC-Council Partners with FNU to Offer Cybersecurity Certifications

SUVA, FIJI ,10 June 2024: EC-Council inventor of the world-famous Certified Ethical Hacker credential has announced a partnership with the Fiji National University (FNU) to advance cybersecurity education in Fiji.

This partnership marks a significant milestone in enhancing the cybersecurity landscape in Fiji and providing students with unparalleled training and certifications to combat cyber threats effectively.

By appointing FNU as its first Academic Partner in Fiji, EC-Council reaffirms its dedication to nurturing cybersecurity talent and innovation within the region.

This collaboration will grant FNU students’ entry to state-of-the-art cybersecurity training, providing them with the expertise and capabilities required to thrive in the fast-paced cybersecurity landscape.

According to EC Council Group President, Jay Bavisi, EC-Council is committed driving cybersecurity excellence and nurturing innovation.

FNU students will have the opportunity to pursue highly sought-after EC-Council certification programmes in the cybersecurity industry, including the Certified Ethical Hacker (C|EH), Computer Hacking Forensic Investigator (C|HFI), Certified Network Defender (C|ND), and Certified Incident Handler (ECIH), among others.

FNU’s National Training and Productivity Centre Director Bob Mitchell shared this partnership would help address the growing  complexity of cyber threats.

“In its bid to make cybersecurity training more accessible, FNU has partnered with EC-Council to assist current and aspiring cyber professionals in advancing their careers. This initiative aims to equip them with the knowledge and skills organizations need to protect against the increasingly complex nature of cybersecurity threats,” said Mr Mitchell.

These certifications open doors to a wide array of career opportunities, with the Certified Ethical Hacker (C|EH) certification alone qualifying individuals for up to 22 different job roles in cybersecurity.

The Fiji National University (FNU) celebrates its 14th Anniversary (2010-2024) as a contemporary Fijian educational and training institute dedicated to achieving academic, training and research excellence.
